Sunday, January 28th, 2007

An interesting list of the smartest online nonprofit organisations - chosen for their excellence in online storytelling and in collaboration with their donors.  Some good lessons to learn here for CRM I think.

First Days in CRM

Wednesday, January 24th, 2007

This week I am in CRM’s New Staff Orientation.NSO

I am so impressed with the transparency and humility of this leadership - as one participant said to them, “I want to be like you when I grow up”. And I think this is the real deal - not mere words, but reality. In addition to the leadership I am privileged to sit alongside real revolutionaries of love, faith and hope. I am overwhelmed by the stories of a highly educated young couple going to serve the poor in Cambodia, a young woman serving in the brokenness of New Orleans, and a young man serving in a part of the world where his friends are being matyred for the cause of Christ. It is a humbling privilege to know my place is to serve these people by finding more like them to serve with them and to find the resources to empower them to continue. This mission of God is what is really worth living and dying for - the rest of the “OC” is a mere shadow.

Goodbye NZ, hello California

Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007

joelplaneHello everyone,

We are back in the United States and arrived safely. We left NZ on Jan 18 and we arrived here in LA on the same day. North America is a day behind NZ/Australia and other islands in that part of the world.

Our week leading up to our departure was absolutely crazy! Between cleaning for the new renters and getting our house ready for the movers, it was busy. (more…)

Welcome

Monday, January 15th, 2007

Hi there,

Welcome to our new site. A big debt of gratitude is owed to Ben and team at DNA Design, Wellington, NZ. They make us look good, don’t you think? On this site you will find a profile of who we are, what we do, what we are up to, and how you can support us.

We will be steadily updating it with ministry and family developments, musings, what we are reading or listening to and some snapshots of our travels. All in all a great way for us to communicate with our friends, supporters and family.

As I write this the movers are literally working around us, packing us up to move to California. We are on a plane on Thursday 18 January for a few days at CRM in Southern California before we head out to the Eastern U.S. to visit family and friends.

Stay tuned for a lot more to come.

Peace and grace,

Andrew & Jen
