A Very Proud Sister

This remarkable presentation (only about 6 minutes long) hints at the power of collective, emergent knowledge. Essentially the small contribution of many is pulled together to be something infinitely greater than those parts. Check out what the presenter does with the Notre Dame cathedral at the end.
This kind of technology, and I think the worldview that goes with, has remarkable implications for the world my children grow up in, what the church looks like for this and future generations, and what leadership looks like for people immersed in such a world. This is not simply technology - this is illustrative of fundamental paradigm shifts with staggering potential.

Follow this link for a short film recently completed by our Peter Schrock, one of our very talented in-house designers (and a great guy!) It illustrates the recent venture begun by CRM’s Enterprise International team in South Africa.

This photo is from our recent trip to the San Diego Zoo - where we signed up for a year pass. Relatively cheap for us and somewhere the kids love - it really is a great zoo.
Friday is delivery day for the baby - of course there will be photos posted here just as soon as we can after the event.

I have recently starting leading the Creative Services team in CRM - I could not agree with the above quote more. I have the most amazing team of people doing amazing stuff while working through often trying circumstances. I am incredibly proud of Andy, Peter, Lori and Diane. It is a privilege to be asked to lead them.

This is a fascinating poster for visually communicating what we emphasize as a nation - plus it captures the vagaries of our national budget. Politicians can espouse all kinds of ideals, but just as with an individual, the check book best illustrates our priorities. I wonder what would happen if, for only a few months, we flipped the chart - in other words the United States spent on all the other services what it spends on Defense.

Saturday was Andrew’s 32nd birthday! We had a fun day together, pretty low key. Here are the birthday cake festivities! (more…)
