Victoria the First Grader!

I can’t believe my little girl has grown up so much.  It was amazing to see Victoria on the first day, she loves her class, she loves her school.  Here she is in her school uniform (thankfully still pretty causal).  We have had such a crazy year. It really brings such joy in my heart that with all the transition she is so happy.  I am pleased to see that she is in a very culturally diverse class.  There is even an Aussie in the mix (the little boy’s mom is from the UK, the dad is an Aussie)!

Does change come from within or without? That tension is illustrated by Adam Werbach was the young star of the environmental movement, prior to him choosing to work with Walmart (the enemy). The angst of that change is captured well in the cover story of Fast Company in this month’s issue. In it he makes some crisp observations which can be well applied to my world - non-profit and church. (more…)
